Most preloved prices have a little room in them, and offers are how you find it — politely, and without leaving the listing.
On a listing that takes offers, choose Make an Offer and name your price. The seller can accept or decline, and many listings accept offers automatically when they come in close enough to the asking price — those are answered instantly.
The piece is yours to buy at the offered price — it appears in your checkout at that price, not the listed one. Buy it promptly: an accepted offer holds the price, not the item, and someone else can still Buy Now while you wait.
An open offer lasts 24 hours. If the seller hasn't answered by then, it lapses quietly and you're free to offer again or buy at the listed price.
Offers are per item, and a seller can see your offer history on their listing. Lowball offers are usually declined without a counter — if you want a conversation, every listing also has a message button, and a friendly question about the piece often gets further than a bare number.
