ReShopMe Limited — Human Rights Policy
Version 2.0 · Effective 10 August 2026
We support human rights consistent with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and we respect those rights in conducting our business.
Our approach reflects the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights: we avoid causing or contributing to adverse human-rights impacts, and we seek to prevent or mitigate impacts linked to our operations through our relationships with others.
In our own workplace we respect the dignity, wellbeing and rights of the people who work for us — set out in The Way We Operate: no discrimination, no harassment, no forced or child labour, freedom of association, and fair and transparent pay.
On our marketplace, respect for human rights is concrete:
- We do not permit the sale of stolen or counterfeit goods, or of items whose trade exploits people. Our Prohibited Items Policy is the operative list.
- We design our processes — identity checks, claims decisions, account suspensions — to treat every person with dignity, and to decide on evidence.
- Privacy is a human right. We hold funds, identity documents, messages and recordings; the Privacy & Cookies Policy governs their treatment, and we never sell personal information.
- A person's likeness belongs to them. Our content tools use a person's image only with consent that can be evidenced and withdrawn; the likeness of a child is never used. Accounts holding likeness data carry mandatory two-factor authentication.
- We respect the cultural heritage of the communities we operate in, including Māori in New Zealand and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in Australia, and we act on reports that a listing treats culturally significant items or designs disrespectfully or unlawfully.
In our supply chain, through appropriate contractual arrangements and procurement principles, we expect our consultants, agents, contractors and suppliers to be aware of and comply with The Way We Operate in all their dealings with or on behalf of ReShopMe, and we will not knowingly do business with an organisation that relies on forced or child labour.
Where human rights are threatened, we seek to have international standards upheld, and we avoid any involvement in abuses — including through misuse of our platform.
