ReShopMe Limited — Sustainable Development Policy

ReShopMe's business, products and services should contribute constructively to the global transition to sustainable development.

For us this is not an adjacent commitment — it is the business itself. Every item sold through ReShopMe is a garment kept in use rather than replaced, and a purchase that did not require anything new to be made. We exist to make reuse the easy, attractive choice.

We contribute to sustainable development by helping to satisfy community needs and aspirations — economic, social and environmental — and by making sustainable development considerations an integral part of our business plans and decision-making processes. That means:

• extending the life of clothing — making it simple to sell what is no longer worn and to buy it, so quality items are loved for longer;
• honesty about condition — a marketplace that describes wear truthfully keeps garments circulating; one that oversells condition sends them to landfill with a disappointed owner;
• responsible delivery — choosing carriers and shipping practices with care, and never claiming an environmental benefit we cannot substantiate;
• fair dealing — buyers, sellers and the people who work with us should all be better off for ReShopMe existing, and our fees and processes should be transparent enough that anyone can check.

By focusing on people, honest trade and careful management, we manage risk better, reduce costs, attract good people, and deliver a better service to our customers.

In practice this depends on the active awareness and support of ReShopMe's principles and policies by each of us as individuals.

Wherever possible we prevent, or otherwise minimise, mitigate and remediate, any harmful effects of our operations on the environment.
