Prohibited Items Policy
ReShopMe Limited · Version 1.1 · Effective 10 August 2026
This Policy forms part of our Terms and Conditions and is incorporated into them by reference. It is maintained separately so that it can be updated as new categories arise, without reissuing the Terms.
1. Scope
1.1 ReShopMe is a marketplace for preloved physical fashion — clothing, footwear and accessories. This Policy lists what may not be listed, offered, sold or shipped through ReShopMe, and applies to listings, livestreams, messages and generated content alike.
1.2 It is the Seller's responsibility to ensure that an item complies with the law and may lawfully be sold, in both the Seller's and the Buyer's jurisdiction. The list below is a guide, not an exhaustive statement of the law.
1.3 We may remove a listing, end a livestream, suspend or close an account, withhold or reverse a payout, and report the matter, where this Policy is breached. Where a report has been made under the Anti-Money Laundering and Countering Financing of Terrorism Act 2009 we may be legally unable to tell you why.
2. Physical goods only
2.1 Only physical goods may be listed. Digital goods, downloads, services and anything intangible may not be listed or sold between users.
2.2 This does not restrict ReShopMe's own services — our content tools and the credit that pays for them are supplied by us, not listed by a Seller.
3. Prohibited items
The following may not be listed or sold:
Regulated and controlled goods
- Alcohol.
- Tobacco products, smokeable products, e-cigarettes, vaping products and e-liquid.
- Drugs and drug paraphernalia.
- Medicines, medicinal instruments, and items making medical claims — including any claim of a causal relationship between a substance and the prevention, cure or treatment of a disease or condition.
- Hazardous materials: flammable, explosive, corrosive, radioactive, poisonous or otherwise dangerous goods.
- Weapons, ammunition and their components.
Living things, and things made from them
- Live animals and insects.
- Items made or derived from animals, including endangered and exotic species.
- Ivory and bone, including tusks, elk ivory, fossilised ivory and mammoth ivory.
- Human beings, human remains, body parts, and items made from human remains. Hair is the sole exception.
Rights and authenticity
- Counterfeit, replica and unauthorised-copy items. We have zero tolerance for counterfeits; an item reasonably believed to be counterfeit is treated as a claim under the Refunds & Returns Policy.
- Items that infringe copyright, trade marks or other intellectual property.
- Stolen goods, or goods to which the Seller does not have good title.
- Unauthorised resale of tickets.
Content and conduct
- Pornography and adult material, including books, magazines, videos and images.
- Items or listings promoting, supporting or glorifying hatred, or seeking to discriminate against or demean anyone on the basis of race, religion, gender, gender identity, disability or sexual orientation.
- Items or listings promoting, supporting or seeking to engage users in illegal activity, including illegal services.
Safety and description
- Recalled items, and items presenting an unreasonable risk of harm.
- Mislabelled or misdescribed goods.
- Used undergarments and intimate items.
Catch-all
- Anything illegal or restricted in the Buyer's or the Seller's jurisdiction, or which encourages illegal or restricted activity.
4. Restricted — allowed with conditions
4.1 Authenticity-verified categories. Certain luxury and branded categories may require authentication before a listing goes live or before proceeds are released. Where they do, the requirement is shown at listing.
4.2 Items requiring disclosure. Damage, wear, alteration, missing components and non-original parts must be disclosed in the listing and shown in the photographs. Non-disclosure is a listing breach and is the most common ground for a claim.
5. Generated media
5.1 Where an image or video is produced with our content tools, it must depict the actual item in the actual listing. Defects must not be removed or repaired by generation, and a body must not be reshaped.
5.2 A person's likeness may be used only with their consent, evidenced on request. Likenesses of children may never be used.
5.3 Misrepresenting an item through generated media is a breach of this Policy and of clause 12 of the Terms.
6. Reporting
6.1 If you see a listing that breaches this Policy, report it from the listing, or contact us at support@reshopme.com.
