Help Centre / Getting paid
Your earnings are held safely from the moment a buyer pays, and released to you once the sale has properly landed. Here's how the money side of selling works.
Payouts arrive in your bank account through Stripe, our payment partner — a one-time setup from your seller dashboard verifies your identity and links your account. You can list and even sell before finishing it, but money can't reach you until it's done, so it's worth doing early. Completing payout setup also switches on two-factor authentication for your account: an account money flows through deserves a second lock — see Your account and security.
The buyer's payment is held while the parcel travels. Your earnings for a parcel are released shortly after it's delivered and the buyer's window to report a problem has passed — so a smooth sale pays out days after delivery, not weeks.
Listing is free; a selling fee is taken only when your item sells, shown before you confirm the listing. What the buyer pays for shipping goes to shipping. The exact fee schedule lives in the Terms and Conditions.
A claim on one of your parcels pauses the payout for that parcel only — everything else releases on schedule. A claim about loss or damage in transit is not your problem financially: it's settled with the courier or insurer and your earnings are unaffected. A claim upheld as "not as described" is funded from the sale's proceeds — accurate photos and honest condition notes are what keep that from ever happening. See Returns and claims, for sellers.
Prices you set are what buyers pay. If you sell as a GST-registered business, tax on your sales is handled per the GST Policy; for individuals clearing a wardrobe there is generally nothing to do — see the policy for the details.
